Launch strategy for YU Ace & 3D Product Film

The Client:
YU is a new age technology brand that strives to work with the community to create an ecosystem of connected devices. A joint venture between Cyanogen Inc & Micromax, YU Mobiles holds the official Cyanogen OS’ rights in India.
They have sold over 3 million units in India.

The Challenge:
YU Mobiles was launching its new handset ‘YU Ace’ in the affordable smartphone segment. They were seeking a new website, a social media campaign & a 3D video shoot that conveyed the various features of the handset to its target audience.

Our Approach:
WCYW (Which Colour You Want) developed an adventurous campaign taking a dig at the competition, additionally giving the element of choice to the consumer, all in one-go.A social media strategy was formulated keeping the product name ‘Ace’ as the essence of the teaser campaign, and powerful graphic designs developed for sustenance phases.

A landing page, fully web & mobile responsive, was developed with parallax effects to mesmerise and engage the audiences. This further directed them directly to the e-commerce website www.flipkart.com for online Sales.

A dynamic and zestful 3D video was developed by WCYW video team to further showcase the features of the handset and appeal to the youthful TG.
